OPEN TAB SAVER — PRIVACY POLICY Updated 25 October 2026 How Open Tab Saver handles sessions, browser preferences, backups, and your privacy choices. 01. INFORMATION HANDLED What a saved session contains When you save tabs manually or turn on automatic capture, Open Tab Saver records eligible tab titles, URLs, their order, and the capture time. It also stores a session name and whether the capture was manual or automatic. URLs may include query parameters or local file paths. 02. PAGES NOT CAPTURED Some tabs are excluded New captures skip incognito tabs and Chrome's internal pages. Unsupported URLs contained in older imported sessions may be shown in the library but are not reopened. 03. STORAGE AND SYNC Local sessions, optional synced preferences Saved sessions remain in chrome.storage.local; they are not sent to the developer or synced as session libraries across devices. Automatic-capture settings, the interval, and the preferred restore destination use Chrome's sync storage, which Chrome may sync depending on your browser settings. The developer does not receive these preferences. 04. HOW DATA IS USED Save, search, reopen, and back up Session data is used to display and search your library, reopen saved tabs, and create exports when you request them. Chrome Alarms supports automatic capture only when enabled. CSV session exports and JSON backups are downloaded through the browser; JSON imports read files you select. 05. SHARING AND ANALYTICS No developer upload or advertising Open Tab Saver has no developer-run session server, account requirement, ads, or analytics service. It does not sell user data or use your tabs for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or lending. Downloaded backups are under your control and can be shared by you. 06. YOUR CONTROLS Manage sessions and files You can rename or delete sessions, clear the whole library, turn off automatic capture, and change the restore destination. You may download a backup before deletion. Removing sessions in the extension does not automatically remove backup files you downloaded. 07. CHROME POLICY AND UPDATES Limited Use and revisions Use of information received through Google APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. This policy may be updated if features or data practices change. 08. CONTACT Privacy questions For questions about Open Tab Saver and data handling, contact dmlabs.dev@outlook.com.
